| Youth Palace in its last days as it is being demolished (or renovated depending on who you ask.) This piece of architecture has been a landmark for the youth of the city and the country during the Soviet period. The hotel portion has a unique architecture resembling a corn hence its common name "kukurus" meaning corn. The top part which contained a rotating restaurant is being dismantled currently. It would be missed by many who enjoyed its many facilities in their youth. DEMOLITION PHOTOS | |
